Dog Rocks

I am not sure if you are anal about your lawn like my husband is, however if this describes you, our your husband, I may just have your cure! We all have dogs, thats why I write & you read! I am not sure of the size of yours but when I let my dog out to potty lakes/rivers/mountains form. Sometimes the side effect is a dead spot (s) of grass. With dog rocks, it is said to reduce or eliminate this problem! I have not given these a try myself, however a few clients and colleagues have with success, so I thought I would share it with you!  I took the following from the package. You have to open them before you get this information.

“The rocks are completely organic. Mother Nature is the creator. Disposal is not harmful to the environment. The added benefit of the mineral is an incredible nutrient to your plans and trees. Take the old rocks and put them in a container or bucket and use them to water your plants and trees. Although not proven, results are outstanding!”  We do have them in store!

Here is how they work! –

  • Remove the rocks from the bag and rinse
  • place no more than 2 liters (1/2 gallon) of water in your dogs water bowl
  • add all the rinsed rocks to your dogs water bowl
  • keep the bowl filled with water at all times

Replace the Dog Rocks every 2 months

Ensure your dog’s water bowl is your dog’s main water source.  Drinking from pools, toilets, ponds and jacuzzis will hinder the results.

Top off rather than replace the water every day. When replacing the water, do so when the dog is least likely to consume large amounts, say at night before bed. It is important to let the rocks submerge in the water bowl for 10 hours to become effective.

Dog Rocks will not help you mend already damaged grass, however you wont see any new spots appear.

Dog’s with extremely high protein diets or that consume high protein treats on a daily basis may not get the full benefit of Dog Rocks.

1 small pack of Dog rocks is good in one dog’s water bowl for 2 months; 1 bulk pack of Dog Rocks is good for one dog’s bowl for 6 months, or multiple dogs bowls for 2 months.

If you go on vacation, it is possible to take the rocks out of the water for reuse, just keep track of total time.

Hey, if it doesn’t work on my dog (she is one of those high protein eaters) maybe it will turn me into a green thumb when it comes to the garden!
